Bay Ridge Window & Door

This place did all my windows in my house and some of my doors. Their windows don't close probably, you could feel the cold slip thru the cracks and some even went off the tracks and won't open nor close. I won't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Go some where else.

we made an order paid 50% deposit and were told the doors and window would be ready in 3-4 weeks. It's 8 weeks later, and the job is not done. When I call to see when we can schedule the work, they tell me "you call every day." The only reason I do call 2x a week now to check in is we don't hear from THEM. Their work may be ok but they have truly terrible customer service.

after seeing the horrible reviews i was nervous to order windows through bayridge, but they came recommended from a friend who had a townhouse full of windows installed by them. i found them easy to work with, the showroom was easy to find and mary ann was very helpful. it took a while to get the windows installed but it is winter and i ordered them over the holidays so i didn't worry much about that.
the prices were the best i could find locally, the men who did the installation were great. they were quick, efficient, and left my place tidy.

We had terrible problems with this place. They installed Marvin windows and did a poor job. 1) The windows were not installed properly so they stuck - they are supposed to slide like ice skates, and instead wrench our back when we open them.
2), the quality of the window screens were iffy; they are fixed to the frame with little pegs, which broke. Bay Ridge promised to "send some more pegs in the mail" which never came.
3) Their game was saying "it's in the mail" every day for about 2 months, until we got sick of calling, which was obviously their intent. They caught us at a busy time, where we did not have time to deal with them. Now that we do, we made damn sure that Marvin windows knows how awful their service is.

Also, 4) they installed a door to our deck that was uneven, so the sliding lock did not work. They came to "fix it" but were not bright enough to figure out how to use a ruler to make something level- and it was botched again (we had to do it ourselves with a drill later).

It is shocking to me that a place like this can stay in business. I urge consumers to stay away. Far away. Their are other window fish in the sea.
