DO NOT COME HERE!!! You will pay triple the price!
I dropped off my car for an oil change and possible brake reapir on a Saturday morning and I was not contacted with an estimate until the following Monday afternoon. The advisor knew I was driving across country in a few days and purposely delayed my repairs so I would be forced to get them done at the dealership. He then quoted me thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs and would only send me a breakdown of the estimate that so basic it made it hard to get other quotes. But I did discover that all of the prices were double to triple what I would pay anywhere else. I was forced to get my brakes done because of the limited time he left me with before my trip, but I told him I was getting my tires replaced somewhere else the day after I picked up my car. However, when I checked the paperwork upon pick up I noticed that he charged me for a tire rotation!! Why would you rotate tires that are being replaced??? To top it all off, after having my car for over five days, it wasn't even washed when I picked it up. And the brakes still squeak. And my alarm system is messed up. (I'm guessing they didn't even do the work). I was ripped off, deceived, and pushed around from beginning to end on this experience. I will never return and I am reporting you to the better business bureau.

My passenger side trailer arm bushing started squeaking 2 weeks ago and since I was near my next Toyota Care service time, I decided to have it looked at. I went to the dealership armed with the work order sheet copy from this site. I removed all my kids' car seats and loose belongings in the car. The dealership is Bay Ridge Toyota in Brooklyn, NY (NYC area).
A little history -
This wasn't my first attempt to get Bay Ridge Toyota to fix my problem. Six months earlier I had reported the same suspension noise issue to them. The tech at that time said he couldn't diagnose accurately because it was raining lightly outside. Then he said it could be my kids' car seats. He asked I make a return visit without my car seats and nothing in the rear storage. So I removed EVERYTHING in my car except for mats. I got another tech for a test and he heard and documented the noise. However, he diagnosed it as my roof rack being loose! All Bay Ridge Toyota communicated was "come pick up your car" without any explanations except for on the worksheet.
Back to yesterday -
Again I removed EVERYTHING from my Highlander just to avoid a tech telling me it's noise from my stuff. The tech saids he can't reproduce the noise. I tell them exactly what's wrong and they allow me in the service bay to show exactly where the squeak is from. The tech and another tech nearby then admits they know about this exact problem on Highlanders and I don't need to explain further. So if I hadn't shown any smidgen of knowledge, they would have brushed off this issue is my feeling. They said they will need approval from the shop manager named Thomas. Thomas the shop manager never introduces himself or acknowledge me. I tell him I have the printout work order and he ignores me and doesn't even want to look at the print out. All he saids this is a big job for the trailer arm. He then saids we can go on a test drive together to verify. I waited for 20 minutes for the test drive that didn't happen. He pulls up in my Highlander and said he "heard nothing" was all he said and disappears. So I was denied a chance to prove the noise (even though it was already documented). Thomas the shop manager had no customer respect or care whatsoever. He just gave me the vibe that he was confrontational.
So after waiting an extra hour waiting for a chance to have my noise be fixed, I gave up since it was getting close to 6pm. I will not be going back to Bay Ridge Toyota in Brooklyn, NY for any future service. I only went to them since they are the closes and most convient location. They have a notorious reputation if you do a search on them.

I went in for recalls that my car had pending. Initially, making the appointment was very easy. My scheduled appointment was accepted and I was told that all my recalls would get fixed for the same day. I was able to drop off the car. that day I get a call from my service adviser around 5 pm (1 hour before, I'm supposed to pick it up) that the car wouldn't be ready and I would have to leave it over night because they couldn't complete all the repairs. The couldn't give me a loaner car , so I opted and took responsibility for leaving with my car that day. I bring in , my car two days later for them to finish and I get a call around 4:30 pm from my service adviser or representative that the mechanic was injured while changing my air bag and that I wouldn't be able to get my car for the next 5 days because they had to call in for parts. Initially, I wasn't offered a rental or loaner car and my service representative was very careless and didn't seem concerned about my concerns of needing my car to get to and from work... he actually told me that there was nothing he could to do and he really wasn't try to even help. I actually had to speak to a manager and he was able to work with enterprise to get me a car... which that was really helpful because it was a weekend. After all these misfortunate events , I was thankful that they were able to fix the recalls. When I went to pick up my car , I wanted to speak to the service representative and find out what recalls they had performed and if there was anything that I needed to fix or change, my service representative was very busy the day I picked up my car, so he offered to call me later on to talk about my car. I never received a call. And about 3 days after my recall repairs, my radio started to act up. after a week of my radio acting up, the whole radio shut down. Toyota Bay ridge is a really busy business... I get that but they should really work on their people skills because that was one hell of a week without my car and now I have a car without a radio.

We bought Toyota Corolla S and pay every month for free service. But whenever I come for service these Toyota people make me wait 4-6 hours. On 10/17/2015 I had appointment at 7:40am and I'm still waiting here for my car at 11:44am and they haven't done anything!! You guys are awful and unprofessional. I gave my car to Admin, and he said it'll take 2 hours 30 minutes. But he parked my car in the parking lot and haven't touched it for service. Then I called Toyota and I was transferred to person named Vincent, he put me on hold and then hung up. I want to give you review in minus, because they've already charged for the free service and don't anything except making me wait 4-6 hours. People who came after me, already got there job done and left. Please don't ever choose bay ridge Toyota for car service, these people are awful and destroy your whole day and will never give satisfactory service. They don't deserve anything!!
