Considering you're only a few miles from the City, it's quiet and well protected from the Long Island Sound barge traffic. Main street is three blocks from the dock, with grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream, and even small marine hardware store within easy walking distance. A cab to the Pelham subway or New Rochelle train station is about $20. (There is also a bus to the Pelham subway station). Barron's does have a travel lift if you need a mid-season short haul and bottom cleaning.
