Barks N' Bones Doggie Resort & Care Center

This really is an amazing place. Always loving and attentive to our dog's needs. Couldn't be happier with the service and the genuine care. Not to mention my little guy has tons of fun and comes home completely exhausted.

Lorena has been caring for our German Shorthaired Pointer since he was a year old (because that's when I met up with her at our local dog park and hired her to take him to the park). That was over three years ago. Since then, she's regularly cared for and boarded Gunter.

Now she's opened her own day care center and he goes to her Monday to Friday. In fact, before she opened I would be across town, near Route 3 and HE would take me over to Orient Way to see if she was at "Lorena's house.". Since her December opening, Gunter has been a regular. Lorena, Nicole and their assistants take care of him as if he were family...I guess by this time he really IS family--they certainly are to him. Lorena has high standards, both as to how she keeps her facility (you NEVER smell doggy odors, because they clean religiously--seriously, they do a total clean on Sundays!!) and how she cares for her canine charges. In fact, she will not accept every dog; Lorena and Nicole do some serious screening, to assure that the new dog will be appropriate for the facility and the ix of dogs already there, to see that the new dog will be welcome and that the regulars will accept the newby.

There's no need to go any further if you live in or around Rutherford, and if you don't, it's worth the trip...the train to Hoboken and bus to NYC is 100 yards from her door. Recommended without qualification, and with unbridled enthusiasm.
