Cash only, which is fine, but I wanted to indulge with a bottle of wine and wasn't prepared to do so with cash. My fault. Food was great, but my apparent awful pronunciation of the special I ordered resulted in a blank stare from the waiter. I tried again, same blank stare. So I pointed it out on the blackboard. In honesty not sure I got what I ordered, but it was delicious. Seemed like a happening place. If I feel like embarrassing myself but eating great food among some good looking people, I'll be back.

Part of the appeal is the attitude and the wait (which doesn't last long if they think they recognize you). Luckily they back it up with amazingly authentic Italian grub. Pasta's are super legit.

I just called and ask them what time they close since according here in the internet they close at 11:30 AM!! So I called and double check that.
The lady over the phone yelled at me and say "what are you asking? Open or close?" I said "the time you close" She said 11:30 and I was like ok is that AM or PM, she said PM!! in a very rude way and hanged up on me.
If the service is bad over the phone, how much more when we dine in here. Too bad they're not trained a proper customer service!

Great ambiance especially when the weather is nice and you can sit on the sidewalk.
THe menu changes daily. I ate mushrooms, spinach and lentil appetizers and a pasta special for main course. Tartufo dessert was amazing!

This place has such low reviews just because of the service. Do not be fooled! Forget about obsequious waiters and just enjoy the food! I am Italian and I can assure you that this pasta is authentic, easily one of the best in the city. The wild boar ragù is absolutely great; if you want to experience the fragrance of the truffle ask them to grate some on top of your plate. If you go on Wednesday afternoon, make sure to get the burrata: they fly it in directly from Italy and you do not want to miss out on that. All their desserts are really good, I personally like the tiramisù a lot.
Try to get a seat outside when it's nice out: it's an ideal place for people watching, and if you're into celebrity sightings then this is a good bet.
