When you type 'Bamonte's' into Google, the third suggested search item is 'Bamonte's Mafia'. This restaurant has that 1970s feel of a place that John Gotti would eat. The walls are wallpapered, the waiters are older gentleman, and the restaurant has a retro feel to it. I went there with high expectations, but this place was a let down. The food was dripping with oil. I went with friends, so I was able to try a variety of dishes. Pork with spicy peppers was OK, Chicken Francese was excellent, pasta bolognese was bad, tiramisu was OK, clams and pasta was awful. Portobello mushroom dish was weak. I wanted to like this place, but couldn't.

This place is straight out of a scene of Goodfellas: waiters dressed in suits; red color everything - drapes, carpets, flowers, wallpaper, and ceilings; a picture wall.
The food was great and served within a reasonable amount of time. We order the stuffed artichoke, garlic bread, chicken parm, seafood diavolo, eggplant parm, and a stuffed shell pasta with chicken and spinach.
The plate size is pretty decent for an Italian-style place, and the prices were fair at around $20-30 range (on the high-end, but substantiated by the quality/size).
My only real complaint was the service. It was a bit slow and not the most helpful/friendly.
Overall, it's definitely a great place to go with friends and family.
