Every time I come here they have exactly what I need, whether it be a new tire, tube or chainring. Really nice prices as well. Plus their people are really nice and knowledgable as well. Recommended.

B's used to be on the way to my commute to work so it was always convenient to stop by there whenever I needed a fix, to pump up my tires etc. I've had countless 'above and beyond' level experiences with their staff. They are unpretentious and willing to work with each customer at their experience level.
I haven't been back in a year+ since I moved to Crown Heights--making getting there a 40 minute chore so I decided to go with my neighborhood shops. I've had some nagging issues with my bike that Fulton Bikes and more recently Excelsior failed to address. At Excelsior I went with a full start of the season tune-up that ran me nearly $150 AND I had to wait a week and a half to get it back. When I did--the issues persisted and i didn't have the time to address it. So! Yesterday I was fed up and just wanted a road worthy bike so I made the trek up to B's--ready to leave my bike there and pick it up in a few days. To my surprise one of the guys there immediately took my bike on a ride around the block to diagnose, then fixed it on the spot. It was $30 and 100% fixed the problem--inside of a half hour. That's astounding customer service.
I gave it a spin around the block and noticed another problem persisted with my gearing and came back in. The owner took a genuine interest in it, ran a few diagnostics and determined my frame was bent and throwing off my derailleur along with the fact that my older bike was running with a newer chain which is slightly incompatible. A few adjustments later and it's riding like new. Both of these issues were missed by several other shops. I just gave myself a small Tour de Bushwick yesterday and today and my bike's an absolute joy to ride now.
As far as I'm concerned--as long as I live in Brooklyn, to B's I'll go.

Thank you to B's for the following:
1. Not throwing out my trusty single speed when other shops said it wasn't worth repairing.
2. Repairing it for a third of the cost of the two other estimates I was given.
3. Presenting me with a bike that gave me the greatest commute home I've had in years, easily shaving 10 minutes off my usual travel time. I actually forgot my bike could go this fast.
4. Not making me feel bad about my poor bicycle maintenance skills.
Yes, I will be back. And special credit to Ted on the above, he is a wizard.

Just went there today for the first time. Tire had a flat and couldn't be patched and I needed to get a new tube. Walked in and walked out in about 10mins with a new tube put on the rims for a very reasonable price. The guys in here are extremely friendly and helpful. They had lots of people coming in and out and were able to manage and give everyone what they needed. I will definitely be going back here for all my bike needs!!
