B Hotel and Hostel

It was a good hostel experience. The place is really clean and the location convenient. You are only about 25 minutes away from Timesquare taking the train. The neighborhood is really nice, except for the one street that is underneath the train track, that is where the hostel is. But all in all, the area's pretty safe.

The one downer is the walls on the rooms not reaching the ceiling, however, sharing a room with lots of people and having some noise at night is a totally normal part of the whole hostel concept.

I did like it and had a very nice stay. They also get points because nobody stole our food from the fridge.

The location was fantastic in the center of Williamsburg, the room I stayed in was very small but then again everything is in Brooklyn. The people that worked were very helpful and tended to all the questions that I needed. Most of all it is right in front of a subway stop which makes it very convenient.

Staff was fine, rooms were clean, nothing about the actual property was a problem.

However, please be aware that there is a train literally right outside of the 3rd floor street side. This is NYC so the train runs all night. I tend to be a heavy sleeper, so I slept through it at night, but when I was trying to sleep in a bit in the morning (as in later than about 6am), it is like having a really loud scraping metal alarm clock that goes off every 15 minutes.

Worst stay in any hostel I've ever stayed at. Nail clippings all over my floor, faint smell of urine, very unfriendly staff and this morning between 7 and 9 30 what sounded like 50 French kids running about and screaming. The walls of each room do not go all the way to the ceiling (about three foot gap) so all noise can be heard by everyone. Also got mugged last night due to its quite dodgy area. I feel as if the stay couldn't have been much worse!

The noise was unbearable. At all times. I booked a two bed room, but it is like you sleep in a 30 bed room because the walls don't reach the ceiling. Furthermore it is as dark as the room next door wants it to be. The staff in general was very nice and helpful. The manager though was rude, condescending and aggressive. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
