My favorite place to go eat. Food is unreal, I haven't had anything that hasn't blown me away. Best restaurant in NJ. I'd vote it. Don't think about it, just go. Your welcome.

I've eaten at most of the restaurants in Cranford and Westfield and I found Avenue East to be extremely over priced for mediocre Chinese food. I enjoy paying for a great meal but to overcharge customers for average Chinese food just doesn't sit well with me. I would never go back there again. Save your money and go anywhere else, unless if you want to over pay for mediocre food.

Non sushi parts of the menu are usually ok, nothing to brag about. The prices are average as well. DO NOT order from the fresh fish/sushi menu. When it first opened it was decent and its gone downhill ever since. Pieces are small for the price. Last order we got seriously fishy tasting eel avocado rolls and the salmon had zero taste. There are far better places for Sushi in the area like Fujiyama Mama in Westfield if you have that craving.
