Absolute NIGHTMARE. In the 2 years I've lived there, I have never experienced such a deplorable, unconcerned building manager nor lived in such an unbelievable situation... call girls in the lobby, floods not compensated for, a creepy maintenance people, keys given out to MY unit to prospective tenants without my consent... just STAY AWAY.

Management is horrendous. They were very attentive BEFORE they had our deposit, but Once they get their money they stop answering emails and phone calls completely. As if you no longer exist. Ryan Michalak is the person we deal with most and he has not responded to any of our messages either. I wish I had read all the terrible reviews about them online before moving to this place.

I have lived here for the past year and have to disagree with the negative reviews. The doormen are great, we've never had any trouble with the management at all, and the place is kept very clean. Easily the nicest place we've lived in 10 years of living in New York.
Sound insulation is good. Our view (from the North side of the building) is fantastic. My husband gets to work in midtown in 15 minutes, and our apartment was in new condition when we moved in.

Don't live here.
The worst management team on the planet. All the other reviews are correct. Given all the other options you will be happy you chose another building.

I love living here. I have the biggest porch.. uh.. terrace in my unit in the whole building. If you have the money, this is where you should rent. I've lived at Avalon Riverview from March 2008-present, and don't plan on leaving anytime soon!
