AV Moving

Please spare yourself the frustration and stress of using this company!! Not only is their customer service awful, but they were contracted my business from Magic Touch Movers (see my review for them as well) and they increased the price per square foot I was "contracted for in writing" through Magic. I attempted several contacts to get this corrected as I had paperwork that stated I was only to be charged $3.25/sq foot and they refused to honor it. In fact, what they did was threaten to leave my things in storage at a rate of $300/month until I paid their increase. In addition, Tim the pick up driver, called and asked that I have my family meet him at a different time so "HE" and "HIS"schedule could be accommodated. My family made these arrangements possible and Tim left my brother and 2 children under the age of 5 to sit there and wait for over an hour. Of course, no apology. From there, I had to ask for a copy of the inventory list on 3 occasions and was continually told it was emailed. I didn't receive it until the day before my delivery. Unacceptable. Repeated phone calls to Vernia and Mary, resulted in nothing but promises to handle the issues I was having, but I never heard back from either of them. Once my things arrived, the inventory was short and damaged. They have lost/stolen 5 boxes, 2 tables, 2 wooden-large candle holders and a bed frame. They also damaged a fan to where it's not even usable anymore and they crushed a lamp and lamp shade that was packed by THEM. I can only imagine how trying to get this refunded will go! Don't waste your time, efforts or money. You and your belongings will be treated terribly even after you have done them favors to make things easier for them!!

HORRIBLE- do not believe anything that these people promise you- they completely lied about everything- They picked up our belongings on June 25th- promised to deliver on July 9th- we called them every single day and the representative kept promising a different date and never delivered- we asked to speak to the manager every single time and they refused- the manager never called us. We finally put in a complaint with the department of transportation to get their attention and miraculously our stuff came the next day. The guys that delivered our stuff refused to assemble the furniture that they took apart- we called the company and they said that we could try paying them on the side if they could assemble it even though this was discussed prior to booking- this company is a complete joke- There are numerous claims against them with the dept of transportation- you can call and get the info---it is public record- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!

The only thing good was customer service on phone and that was before I booked them. Once I booked service was garbage. I had 2 bedroom move and my final price was $1200 more than they estimate even they knew what I was taking. But that was not even a issue. We talked about 30 boxes and I had only 25 and they still left 4 boxes and my $350 tv stand because they said they got no space in truck because they had another load in it. They also tied my queen size mattress outside the truck no professional at all. I had long run move so I had no choice. Worst experience of my life. I will never recommended them to anybody.

I rent out various fully furnished apartments on both the east and west coast. Recently because of the economy I have been downsizing and I needed a moving company to take the furnishings from my New Jersey apartments clear across the nation (at a reasonable price or it really wouldn’t be worth the trouble). I had a great experience with AV moving. They packed up and moved furnishings from two apartments and delivered them safely to their new home in California.
I am used to moving, being a former military brat, and I am used to the expectation that not everything will arrive in one piece. When I met the movers in LA I fully expected to see a couple broken pieces especially my collection of Italian vases, but after careful inspection there was no damage or missing items. They took really good care of everything. Another great aspect of their service are their prices. They are very competitive, and consistent. I paid exactly what they quoted me.

I was contacted by Rose with AV Moving while researching moving companies. The price they gave us were somewhere in the middle, we chose to go with AV moving due to Rose who was the most personal and informative of all the sales people that contacted us regarding a moving estimate. She was extremely polite and professional in every way. On the day of the move the moving crew came in time.
These guys were really phenomenal they packed and loaded our three bedroom apartment in 4 hours wow!
They delivered us in California within 10 days as was agreed. The estimate provided was very accurate and our belongings arrived on time and in excellent condition .
There is another move in our future and we will definitely use their services again.
