FIRESTONE-Auto Tech Car Care and Tire is not worthy of even ONE STAR. On Friday, November 27,2015, my goddaughter was visiting from Connecticut for the Thanksgiving holiday and needed to replace a wheel and tire on her car. We stopped by the FIRESTONE-Auto Tech Car Care & Tires get a quote and decided to return for the repair. After dropping off the wheel and tire my goddaughter was charged $288 IN ADVANCE on her credit card, and told to bring the car in the next day,Saturday November 28, to complete the repair. The man who claimed to be the owner, personally called and ordered wheel and tire, with the make and model after he assessed the damaged. We were told to bring the car in the next day before the repair shop closed at 2 pm. My goddaughter called ahead at 11:30 am on Saturday to confirm that her wheel and tire had been delivered. The man on the phone confirmed and we proceeded to the repair shop. We entered the establishment and the man behind the counter asked her to pull her car in so that they may install the wheel and tire. After 15 minutes that same man, who was the shop manager, came out from the garage and into the store and stated to my goddaughter that "there was a problem". He said that "they delivered the wrong wheel and that her tire was not lining up with what was delivered". He arrogantly stated that "There was nothing he could do about it until Monday". My goddaughter is from Connecticut and was leaving Sunday afternoon. Driving from our house to the auto repair shop was hazardous and to try to send her back on the road with no remedy for their mistake was absolutely reckless and with no regard for her safety or other motorists. Her car's computer system has an auto shut off when the traction is off balance. She could not drive 5 minutes let alone two hours back to Connecticut. Being that the wheel and tire was in their possession from the day before, the shop manager was NEGLIGENT when the delivery arrived because he did not check it and placed the blame on their supplier. The shop manager REFUSED repeatedly to call the owner, REFUSED to give me the number, REFUSED assistance with finding another repair shop, REFUSED to give a cash refund (once a credit card transaction is processed, the refund takes 3-5 days to appear on the account). This created financial hardship to find additional cash during the holidays. This situation was unnecessary and hindered us from doing business with a reputable and responsible establishment. The shop manager and cashier were grossly disrespectful and only added insult to injury. I was outraged with anger at the shop manager's nonchalant and careless attitude. This entire matter had upset my family and I during this holiday. I have suffered mental anguish and migraine headaches over the safety and travels of my goddaughter. We reached out to FIRESTONE to lodge a complaint and were informed that AUTO TECH CAR CARE & TIRES IS AN INDEPENDENT DEALER THAT SELLS FIRESTONE TIRES. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE FIRESTONE CORPORATION. FIRESTONE HAS MAINTAINED AN OUTSTANDING REPUTATION FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE OVER THE YEARS AND SHOULD NOT BE VIEWED IN THE SAME LIGHT AS AUTO TECH CAR CARE & TIRES.
I came to the conclusion from other customers that had dealt with this business previously, that bad customer service is a chronic disorder. One of their customers had returned with a complaint while my goddaughter was placing a order. Another customer we met shortly after leaving the establishment at a local Exxon, who had a bad experience in 2013, never came back and never referred friends and family. He stated "things haven't changed".
PLEASE PLEASE IF THERE IS ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE FIRESTONE-AUTO TECH CAR CARE & TIRES PLEASE COME OUT OF SILENCE AND LET THE PUBLIC KNOW. THIS BUSINESS NEEDS A WAKE UP CALL BECAUSE THEY HAVE A BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR CONSUMERS AND THEIR SAFETY.

Every experience at Autotech is a great one! This is the best place to go for high end customer service and top notch professionalism. I highly recommend Autotech to all! My friends and family agree that the experience here is always a positive one.
