Ty was as straightforward and honest as I could ever hope. For 29 years people have retained me to find really great low mileage cars. This customer wanted an A6, and Town Audi had a 3 year old model with just 16k miles. Great. Yes. Certified Audi. Yes. But what if someone reputable inspected it for us before purchase? The results came in.
Since I am far out west in Denver, Ty was not just the mechanical inspector (most critical) and checking for any signs of past accidents (critical), he went over the vehicle's cosmetic condition carefully and also told us there were no cigarette smells (something only someone with the car could tell). The mechanical issues were minor. There were some cosmetic issues that would probably not be very noticeable, but he took the initiative to take photos and try to point out everything to me. In the end, Ty and staff did a most admirable job. I love it when I am dealing in NJ and NY and the Metropolitan Area's most southern suburb (south Florida (: ), where it is often difficult to be confident in the auto repair shop, or even find one that give you hope of being a great shop, when you are evaluating a business through normal means. However, Ty's conscientious and careful inspection was as comforting to me as if I sent my beloved out-of-state relative to the doctor to see check on a possible health issue.
We didn't need to drive or fly to stare at the relative, I say "Go see the doctor, and let's see how you are through the doctor's eyes."
In this case, the Ty and staff were the physicians who checked over an A6 patient. Autosport Performance did everything as well and as thoroughly as I could have ever expected. That is why I gave them 5 stars.
I seriously question the terrible 1 star review of someone with only that review on file at Yelp, I think that, based on my experience, Edward S. is not a real customer but a competitor or someone seeking vengeance. If not, there must be another company that lived down to that serious criticism Edward leveled against Autosport.
Thank you Ty! Best wishes. As someone who grew up in the NY area, when I think of the area, I usually say "it's a nice place to be from" often because of fast talking people who can be unconcerned with anyone but themselves. I know many people who are just the opposite, and I will add Ty and Autosport to my "best of" list, and will use them again if given the opportunity.
