The care and service that's offered is quite good, however I feel as though the staff need to be slightly more on top of things, and the waiting times for an appointment, my goodness. You have to wait upwards of an hour or more to just be seen, reminds me of like what a patient would see in a European country. The orthodontist I see is amazing, very personable and offers the best dental care I've seen. Overall, a decent place to go to, however there are several issues that badly need addressing by management.

I was a patient of Dr Shahi's at Atlas Park Dental. I had braces in high school but my teeth moved tremendously since then. I went in for an initial consultation and decided to get invisalign. Dr Shahi was very personable throughout the entire process and kept me updated on all of the process. My teeth were straight within one year, and the price never exceeded the original amount quoted. I would highly recommend Dr Shahi! The office was also courteous and confirmed every appointment with me.

I will say that the dental hygenist who cleaned my teeth prior to me meeting the doctor was lovely. I made a appointment for my daughter and I on a Saturday. They call me and tell me they have to reschedule my daughter appointment but I can keep mine. I go and they were taking children that day when I asked she tells me we forgot to call you. After the fact that i mention it again when they called to confirm my appointment. I let that go but when i go for the reschedule the following Saturday only the front desk girl was there because the doctor cancelled. Supposedly they called my voice mail was full which it wasnt I know that for a fact!! I even have those texts that they send to confirm the appointment in which I did confirm and also confirmed when they called me for her appointment.
The second thing is when i seen the doctor he did a HORRIBLE service he didnt even check me just told me I had to see the specialties and to make another appointment with him.
I WILL never ever go there again. I know I wasn't the only unhappy person there but people are just so busy to write a review. PLEASE DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF

Going to Atlas Park Dental to get my teeth straightened was a fantastic choice. I love that they always have Planet Earth or some other fascinating wild life documentary on the TV in the waiting area. It's friendly for kids and adults, and the quality of the TV is stunning. I liked that they called to confirm my appt. AND send a text a couple days before your appointment reminding you. Katya (I hope that's how her name is spelled) was super sweet as the receptionist and in general I really liked the experience as far as ambience and professionalism goes.

Moving onto my actual dental experience, Dr. Pourang Jabah'Shahi is by far one of the best doctors I've ever gone to. I came to Atlas Park Dental after having braces on for four whole years and then not wearing my retainer for five years after that. Dr. Shahi sat with me for a consultation and listened to my back story carefully before examining my teeth. He told my father and I that I had only lost about 15-20% of my progress and he estimated I would only need braces for 12 to 15 months (he was right on the money, I came out after 15 months). After going to my last orthodontist, I knew I couldn't return to him again. He cared very little about informing me when making changes or treating my teeth. He also chided me when I would break a bracket, threatening to charge me for each one broken. Dr. Shahi was nothing but kind and knowledgable to me every step of the way, not to mention I never broke a single bracket with him (an indicator of the quality of his workmanship). My father was very impressed after our consultation and told me in no uncertain terms that Dr. Shahi was a very good doctor. I completely agree. You won't regret going to Dr. Shahi - I'm so glad my insurance covered a decent chunk of the cost for my braces, as I feel like getting Dr. Shahi's services were a steal. Thanks so much Dr. Shahi!

Went for a general check up and cleaning. Dentist performed exam, went through X-rays with me and told me I had no cavities and only needed to have two old fillings changed. Went back 3 days later to have filings changed and was told I have two new cavities. Either this dentist is incompetent and prone to misdiagnosing or he was trying to do unnecessary filings so he could bill my insurance for more money. I don't understand how 3 days earlier you don't find any cavities on exam or in x-rays but then today you walk into the room and decide in less than a second that I have two new cavities. Either way this whole ordeal left a bad taste in my mouth. There are too many other dentists available in NYC to settle for mediocrity.
