The technician sent was very nice and did a good job, but it was nearly $600 (would have been more if I paid with a credit card) to have a non-functioning outlet changed. It took about 10 minutes of actual work. The electrician came without having outlets, etc on hand and had to rush to Home Depot to buy an outlet. You'd think that'd be standard for them to have with them.
$300 for them to come look at the outlet (I would have never agreed to that, but my wife made the call and was taken advantage of), then $200 to replace it, plus parts, taxes, etc. on top of that.
