I went to Dr. Degel for an emergency root canal and asked the receptionist over the phone if they took my insurance. She confirmed that they "worked with MetLife" and I booked my appointment but found out when I got my bill that they do not take my insurance and my procedure cost more than expected because they were outside my network. On top of that, Dr. Degel (male) coughed in my mouth during the procedure and was not wearing a mask!
I was so disgusted after that I never went back for my follow up and went to another dentist in Astoria.
However, they do have email reminders and a nice office and nice equipment, which I liked, just had a bad experience.
