Two sorts of people work in this place: a) Non-English speakers who are generally helpful and tend to work in the aisles b) English-speaking cashiers who just don't give an ass about the customers. I shop there three or more times a week and by far this place has one of the worst customer service I have ever encountered, even by New York standard. Today I was looking for an item and I asked one of the guys working in the aisle and he didn't seem to understand English at all. Then I asked one of the cashiers and the simple answer was 'I don't know' with a face that screams, 'You should be lucky that you get to shop here'. I swallowed a big gulp and left. If not for convenience, I would NEVER visit this store.
My question to the the management: Can you find some people who actually want to work there? Or may they would be too expensive?
