This was once a wonderful park for Brooklyn to come together and enjoy the sensational Seaside Concert series:Great artists like Liza Minnelli and Pat Penatar to name a few.

People gathered on the grass to hear the bands in the big shell.
Due to complaints in the neighborhood of the loud noise on Thur nights, the concerts were moved to Coney Island.

Now the band shell is a wreck from Storm Sandy and left to perish. The children's playground has always been neglected and lies with a concrete floor and a small amount of slides and swings. There is a smelly bathroom which closes at dusk.
This wonderful park where we used to be able to take our dogs for the concerts, and hang on the grass with wine and pizza is now a a place for the homeless to live.

What used to be a great venue for the Seaside Concert series is now just a rundown patch of grass. The bandshell is in disarray from Sandy and since is no longer in use it's been left to rot

The playground in the rear needs some fixing up before someone get hurt. And there are no restrooms.
