Tasty pizza (I got a slice of the artichoke pizza), nice beer selection, chill atmosphere

I've been to Artichoke both for a slice (head to the rear) and to sit down and dine. Both experiences have been great but I think from now on, I'll always sit down to enjoy the 17th Street Special (your choice of 3 slides) and meatballs with a friend.
Prices are average for higher-end pizza slices (you'll pay ~$60 for what I described above plus two glasses of wine) and the staff is OK, but not overly helpful.

Amazing namesake pizza ; great bartenders; and slices or pirs whether you can stay or must go. One of NYCs finest pizzas, without a doubt!

I asked for one slice, cash on my hand for easy transaction. The guy said "one minute", and kept me waiting while he was doing some other things. We look at each other after 2 minutes and the guy said "one minute" again. I waited for 4 minutes and was thinking to leave and then I thought I waited enough and I will get the slice. He looked at me again and said "one minute". After 6 minutes, I just left and thought how hard could it be to operate pizzeria store efficiently. There could be solutions with new methods, but first thing is to hire people with good attitude and flexible mind.

We stopped by here by chance while walking the High Line one beautiful July afternoon. My wife had the stuffed artichoke and loved it. I had the pepperoni wedge pie which was very cheesy with a crisp thin crust and more than enough to fill you up. We would definitely come back if in the area again.
