My favorite Italian restaurant on the upper west side! Delicious food, many choices, and good service.

A classic of the UWS, I've been here many times since I came to the city. Quiet an cozy place, rarely crowdy, you can talk comfortably with friends or clients. The fix price menu is probably one of the best in NY in terms of quality/price. The olive oil and bread are delicious. Check the Rigatoni Siciliana or the Rigatoni Pollo Pazzo.

Food was mediocre for the price. Service was awful. Wait staff waited by our table until we ordered. I think he got bored with us, because he only came to the table once more to drop off the check after I flagged him down, someone else brought us our food.

Came with a big group for a late Sunday lunch, so we got the entire back of the house to ourselves, where seating was fairly spacious. Tables can be a little tight in the front of the house though. The decor was pretty interesting here - the walls are filled with quirky doodles from whom I assume are celebrities. The service was fairly good, although given our big crowd (20+ people), they couldn't get our food out at the same time. While the food was tasty, my gnocchi came just lukewarm, which was a bit of a let down. Our waiter was kind enough to break down our bills into groups of five, which made splitting the bill a lot easier. Probably won't go out of my way to dine here, but if I'm in the area and have a case of late afternoon munchies, I might stop by.
