I DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr Arrick for sinus trouble. He is a nice man and has a wonderful staff. He may also be a great doctor when it comes to the Ear part of the ENT in his title.
However, AS A SINUS SPECIALIST, HE IS BELOW AVERAGE AT BEST. He is behind the times on current treatment options for sinusitis. When I brought up things that I had read online (in medical journals), he casually dismissed them. Under his "care," an acute sinus infection became a chronic infection and continued while I saw him regularly for almost a year and a half. He kept insisting that my problem "wasn't that big a deal" and would send me away with antibiotics and steroids and nasal spray.
When I finally got fed up and went to another doc in Manhattan, the guy looked at the CT scan results that Arrick had said "no big deal" to and said "Sir, if this was 10 years ago I'd have you on your way to emergency sinus surgery tomorrow. Your sinuses are a crime scene." A year, two more doctors and a sinus surgery later, I am thankfully on my way to being better.
I must insist that you seek other care for sinus related issues. Don't let what happened to me happen to you. We live in the greatest city in the world for medical care. Don't waste your time (or risk your health) on a small town, behind the times. doctor. Thanks to Dr Arrick I lost a almost two years of my life to dealing with a problem that a qualified doctor would have been able to resolve in a few months.
