total rip off. couldnt believe the prices they quoted me and they had they nerve to act like they were doing me a favor.

I have been boating in and around Jamaica Bay since I was 12 yrs old....recently this year had major problems with e-tec engine...I took it to Argo from whom I had purchased it originally (new)...George couldn't do enough for me ..he acted on my behalf with BRP and although not for nothing, recieved positive feedback and parts from BRP at reasonable prices...he further went out of his way to keep the labor charges reasonable.
I know nothing in life costs nothing...and if it does its worth exactly that!..nothing.

I have dealt with many engine repair mechanics on Jamaica Bay and have less than positive things to say about most, and I won't mention them by name although you will know them...so Ill say only that George and Ralph at Argo are the 'good guys' and BRP stands behind their product...I don't think you can do much better than Argo...Thats my opinion and you'll see me around on the Oh Kay II......

i assume that the previous reviews are fake and posted by the business or its associates considering they were all done at the same time and compared to my and my cousins experience at Argo. First let me just say what a bunch of lying thieves the owner and workers at this shop are. They are notoriously known to charge you for parts and labor on work that was never down. After i was robbed by them i reached out to multiple other certified marine mechanics and was quoted prices that were a 1/3 of the price that Argo charged me. When i told one mechanic my price his jaw dropped and said "that price would still be overboard if it was work done on dual motors!" My boat was trailered in to Argo at 830am and i was called at 115pm the same day that my boat was done and ready. The owner must not be good at math because he insisted of charging me for 8 hours of labor. On top of all the issues with being over charged my boat suffered numerous scratches and scuffs. What a joke this place is.

I went shopping for a boat with my husband and we ended up buying a boat from Argo. I was a little bit apprehensive about buying a boat, but the guys at Argo really helped us pick the best boat for our family. There was no pressure and they gave us plenty of help and advice after we got our boat in the water.

I've been going to Argo Boats since I first started boating many years ago. The guys over at Argo have always been great with me. Whether it was picking out a boat or getting my engine serviced, I always have felt like they were treating me fairly and with respect (unlike my car dealers).
