Walked into Ara late Friday night for wine and cheese. It was comfortable and welcome after the Meatpacking District crowds. Learned the name Ara stands for the initials of the owner's children.

Really just serve drinks and a few small appetizers. Decent enough selection to have something for everyone but not an expansive selection. Worth a try.
