My veterinarian at Ringwood Animal Hospital recommended that my dog Miley see an animal ophthalmologist for a severe eye injury. Miley runs with abandon through the brush in our yard in West Milford and possibly ran into a branch or bramble causing severe corneal damage.
I called The Animal Eye Center in Little Falls, NJ because it was the closest to my home. They gave me an appointment the next day due to the severity of the injury. The lobby of the office is truly welcoming and calming. It is filled with natural light, positive pet wall prints and messages, and a Keurig with snacks, and a easily accessible restroom. The lobby, the exam room, and the room restroom were all spotless and accommodating.
I don't know who was nicest: the administrative staff, the assisting technical staff, or the doctor. All were pleasant, polite, empathetic, patient, helpful, and informative. I was sent home with the eyedrops, and oral meds needed. The technician went over the instructions with me to be sure I understood and was comfortable with the administration of the medications.
I have returned for follow up visits. My Miley is a senior citizen, healing well but slowly.
I would highly recommend this practice.
