We have been coming here since I was kid in the 1960's.
Great Italian food. Same menu all these years. I have seen many famous people in here over the years who keep coming back. Staff are great and they are a classic throw back to a different era.
Angelo has passed away in 2013 but same great restaurant.
To the people who dont like it, they ust don't know what they are talking about and don't know good old fashion Italian "home" cooking.

I'm not sure why this place has gotten high ratings, but it flat out stinks. The spaghetti tasted like it was from a can, the sausage was dry, the salad only had oil on it (where's the vinegar?), dining area is too crammed (there's about 8 waiters trying to navigate an area about the size of a large living room packed with tables), and to top it all off, they don't accept credit cards (not posted anywhere). People that enjoy this place must be in "The Family" because the people I went with didn't enjoy it at all. Will never return. In fact, this place has ruined all establishments named "Angelo's" for me. Very disappointed. You've been warned.

Angelos has been in Lyndhurst for a very long time, and their excellent home style Italian food is why. If you think Ragu and Olive Garden is good Italian, then this place is not for you. If you grew up with an Italian grandmother who made meat sauce and fresh pasta every Sunday, then Angelos will take you back to that time. Pasta is not undercooked, it is imported pasta which is al dente...not that mass cooked pasta that sits in water that they serve at the chain establishments. Yes, the menu is very limited, but this isnt a chain restaurant, this is a family owned authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.
