Fell and broke my elbow in 2013 which required screws and anchors. Went to Dr. Weiland on recommendation and was very pleased. He did a wonderful job on my elbow and I got 100% full mobility. Then fell and fractured the same elbow in 2015. Went back to Dr. Weiland and this time he had to remove two of the screws he put in as they were leaving into the bone. Needless to say, once again he did a fabulous job and I got 100% mobility. Can't ask for anything more. He has a dry sense of humor which can be mistaken as an attitude. Trust me. He is the best!!!

I had a wonderful experience after requiring metacarpal hand surgery after a bicycle fall. Dr. Weiland was patient, listened and performed a perfect procedure for a fractured metacarpal. I don't agree with any of the other reviewers. For complicated hand surgery, Dr. Weiland is as good as it gets.

I will start off by saying that I am not an overly sensitive person. I have spent time in conflict zones around the world, and thus I am used to abrasive people. I also have experience dealing with 3rd world country medical staff, and callous, cynical frontline medics and doctors. Of all the knuckle dragging medical personal I have had the luck of meeting, I will clearly say that Dr. Andrew Weiland is by far the most insensitive, arrogant, and impatient doctor I have ever encountered.

I first met the doctor who assists him, who glanced my hand over and asked me a bunch of questions. Before I had a chance to answer a question, he was on to the next. He had zero tolerance for listening, as if he could read my mind. I feared that this doctor learned his people skills from watching his mentor, Dr. Weiland. My assumptions proved to be correct. Dr. Weiland twisted my hand this way and that, and then after a minute test told me I needed surgery. I asked what other options I had. He cut me off and said "NO options!" I asked more about my condition. He gave me a pamphlet to read. Seriously? I am spending $400 to see a doctor so that he can tell me to read a piece of paper? My subsequent questions clearly annoyed him, as he was trying to exit the office. As he walked away he told me, "You WILL have surgery." Anyone looking for a hand doctor should stay clear away from this monster.

As I was walking out, I saw a wounded veteran trying to pay for a surgery he is about to have. Dr. Weiland's staff would not tell him how much it was, but was just trying to collect his credit card. Disgusting.

I made an appointment with Dr. Weiland because the first hand surgeon I went to was not very good. The office kept me waiting for a long time, and I was first met by the resident. She took the detailed history I had written down for my visit. When Dr. Weiland came in, he spent a minute looking at me and said that there was nothing he could do. He told me that in order to get better I should consider quitting my job. He then left.
When I saw the medical note, it appeared that Dr. Weiland did not even know which hand dominant I was (he got it wrong). He wrote that I had broken my forearm in the past, when it had actually been my wrist. He wrote that the anti-inflammatories had worked, when they had not. Finally, he failed to mention that my symptoms were work-related, which they are, and which was the purpose of this visit.
Apparently Dr. Weiland charges $400 for a visit. I don't think he's worth even the $10 co-pay which I grudgingly paid after this so-called 'doctor's visit.' I will never go back to him ever again.
