I was wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes and got in... I walked there with a friend from work (IAC across the street from the bowling alley part of Chelsea Piers) and it was jam packed since Marky Mark was apparently there or some shiz like that. We got bottle service and had a good time. Didn't need a line of chicks to get in, either. The bouncer did say "tennis shoes... really?" and I replied back "I walk from east village to work every day, I'm not wearing dress shoes just so I can get into a club" and he let us in. We skipped the line and just went direct up to the dude (long line was waiting) and said we were on the list (we weren't) and got in. I had fun, no issues here. I'm a white dude, not sure if that matters and my friend is Asian. That was three years ago though... just wanted to check up on this place and see if it's still open since I'll be back in NYC on business for a week.

This is a very spacious club. We got bottle service here years ago and it went pretty smoothly. There were aerialists dangling from the ceiling, there was good music, and there were celebrities in VIP. What more can you ask for?! One negative would be how far west it is, but then again most of the larger clubs are due to space.

This place almost ruined our NYE! They did not let us in while we had paid for entry plus open bar already!!
We had bought $75 tickets to get in after 12:30 on NYE, our tickets included premium open bar until 2:00 AM. We (well-dressed 30+ couple) got in line at 1 AM until we realized the line wasn't moving at all. I moved forward to show our tickets and we were sent to another line. This line wasn't moving either, plus we at some point realized that our new line was for bottle service. We had no intention to pay for bottle service, since we had paid for open bar already. They then let 10 people in that were in our line (in front and behind us) who had no tickets, but were friends with the rude girl at the door. When I showed my tickets to this girl (we had showed them to two bouncers before) she told me that that party had finished already! Our $75 12:30 AM admission tickets were not valid after 1 AM anymore??! While we were waiting a pretty unsophisticated crowd was spilling out, and we witnessed shouting matches with the bouncers and high-heeled hoodrats falling to their knees while stumbling out. Music (that was advertised as 'world-renowed DJ') sounded like whatever is on repeat on your local R&B radio station. We left the line at 1:45 AM, this place is not worth any of this! We were let in at an after party at Stage 48 and had a good time there.
