Went there for my eye exam this year after a bad experience with Sterling Optical next door. The people are friendly. I had a noon appointment and had to wait over 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor because they let walk-ins come in for exams before me, which defeats the purpose of making an appointment. The doctor was friendly and did a really thorough job though.

I have mixed feelings about American Vision. On the bright side, their selection of frames is extensive, and I was able to pick out a great pair. Dr. Margolin is a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly doctor. However, their policies regarding insurance are unreasonable. A $35 co-payment is needed before any service whatsoever, and after the $25 eye test they charge an additional $60 for a contact lens diagnosis, a checkup that would only take ten extra minutes. Overall, expect good service but prepare to pay for it.
