If youre going to drop food/water/baby supplies to that area, drop it THERE at the Americal Legion. People all around that small town know of it and go to it for food. They seemed well stocked as of 4pm today (9/4/12) but there were plenty of residents flowing in and out taking supplies.

Following Hurricane Sandy, Spent the last few days helping people in need in Howard Beach and Rockaways, I must command the people at American Legion @ 209 Cross Bay Boulevard Far Rockaway, NY 11693 for their help to everyone in the area, the door are open 24/7 for everyone in need for food, cloths, water and other necessities.
American Legion and all who came to help and still are helping, NYPD, FDNY, FEMA, National Guard, Con-Ed, National Grid, Council Members, and anyone else donated food cloths and materials and they're time to help, I salute you.
