I was disappointed and dumb founded when the Dentist took my x-rays and refused to give me a general cleaning which is why I came here in the first place. The dentist explanation was my wisdom tooth although under the gums (not showing, never came out) I had to get them removed and special cleaning by a specialist. He also says the wisdom tooth will grow. I,m over 51 years of age, really...

In general, when you have to do a follow up with a specialist, it results in rescheduling for that service.
A general cleaning is done on your first visit usually.
Also Note: the rooms where they conduct the service smells like dirty bathrooms, and very poor sanitation. Although the front desk was decent. So to me it was just a front. Stand clear of this facility for poor services and sanitation issues.

To say this dentist office is a horror would be a compliment. Never have I had such an incredibly aweful experience with a dentist. I would say exactly which dentist I saw BUT I wasn't even given a name (as they are so kind and personable there). I was told that a tooth had bad root canal work done and the only option was to extract the tooth. I left in tears after being bombarded with, what I found out later was, false information. I made an appointment with another dentist the next morning to get a 2nd opinion. Turns out the tooth is perfectly healthy and theres NO REASON to extract the tooth. And yes, I saw the X-Rays. Not too sure what the dentist at American Dental was looking at. I'd rather pay out of pocket than go to a pushy, uneducated, and rude dentist.
