The other reviewers have it right. This place is a total fraud and should be avoided. What a scam! The training is poor and they cannot find you a job - they recycle ads they find on Craigslist. Avoid and attend a reputable bartending school. How do businesses like this avoid being closed down. Unbelievable.

I went to this place driven by the add I found in a Spanish Newspaper promising "up to $300.00 daily in tips" No experience. We train. When I walked in the office. It seemed like a factory store room with a Spanish lady as secretary. I waited 30 minutes and I met a gentleman who claimed to be the executive officer on his business card. He explained about the great opportunities and of course asked for $200 upfront to start the paper work such as background check and a certificate, When I told him I would need to consult with my family, He insisted I should leave a small deposit and pay the rest later. something very FISHY !! Please avoid this place by all means

You pay 200$ to supposedly become a member of the American Bartender's Associates, which is supposed to "get" you a job in any American city. Instead, you call a number (which only rarely picks up) and they list off old craigslists posts which you could find yourself. Out of twelve places they told me to go to, four were closed, three hadn't heard of ABA, and the rest weren't even hiring. All 12 were listed on craigslist. SCAM SCAM SCAM
