Alva Tavern

10 of us went to Alva for lunch today, Friday. We were the only people in the entire restaurant and yet we still waited 45 minutes for our food to come out and when it did come out, 40% of the orders were wrong. Either completely wrong, missing something, or something ws there that should have been omitted. They did remove two of the items from the bill, but this was inexcuseable since we were the only customers in the restaurant. The only reason I'm giving it two stars was the food actually was very tasty.

The wait staff was excellent. They are top notch. No issue there.

The food was bleh....very subpar. Ordered a Asian salad which was basically a whole head of cabbage with some grill chicken spread on top. Very dry and had to ask for additional dressing. Dine at your own risk.

Also, keep a close eye on your bill/checking account. I was incorrectly charged $102 which over drew my account. As a result of their error, I was charged overdraft and transfer fees. Despite reaching out to the manager twice to confirm that they stopped payment on the charge on their end, I have yet to hear a follow up response. At this point, it's all good. I stopped it on my my side with my bank. As a result, I am forced to wait 10 days for money to be returned to me that should not have been taken in the first place. $25 meal tuned into $1M headache. Never dining there again.

Buyer Beware...Checked out very nice menu, made reservations for the next night at 6 before a concert at Pru. Arrived, nice setting, very busy before an event (not a big deal) and nice personnel. Get seated on time and the menu switch is pulled. No steaks, no fish, no chops......a menu of chicken sandwich, eggplant pasta and cheeseburger (the pre-event menu only). Informed them of my displeasure, it's getting late....we order two cheeseburgers. They come, two 1/16" thick, previously frozen patties, McDonald's are bigger and taste better. Both are rock hard and inedible. Warning, don't plan on eating there before an event.

The service was terrible. There bartender only worked the bar and ignored the tables. Took more than an hour to get a drink. Food was ok but they switched from an order your own to a buffet.

This guy bobby brazen is a bozo! Best meal I have ever had and service is insane. Wait staff super positive vibes and let's talk about friendliness!!! Smiles all over the place! I love the Alva! Thanks for everything
