Came here because it was close to where I was staying, and the reviews it had were very good.
All I can say is, they were right!
Food was amazing, I had the NY Strip steak with a side of Brussel sprouts, and it was not only perfectly cooked, but the seasoning was also amazing. Meat was well rested, and honestly, I could not fault a single thing with my meal.
I washed it all down with a great Pino Noir which they had by the glass.
I will be coming back!
Highly recommend if you are in the area, or if you are not - make the journey - it is worth it!

I have no idea why this place wasn't more crowded at 8:30, on a Saturday, because it's excellent, and deserves the business. We had the lightest, fluffiest gnocchi either of us has ever had (and we eat a lot of gnocchi), which basically melts in your mouth. Chicken liver pate was delicious, smooth and creamy, and I couldn't get enough of the red wine onions that came with it. My fettuccine with spring vegetables was spring in a bowl: all green, all fresh, and with perfect homemade pasta, and my husband's pork belly came with this amazing parsnip puree, that had really interesting Indian flavors. I was just scooping it off his plate with my fingers (don't judge). Garlic grits, like the gnocchi, were unusually light and fluffy, so quite gobbleable. Oh yeah, and they have 100 different whiskeys. Overall, a perfect meal, and we'll be going back.
Bonus: great 90s hip hop on the speakers.

To avoid outrageous brunch lines on a weekend, we left Manhattan for LIC. The trip was well worth it. I ordered pig and grits and their french toast to split. Both were really good. The place looked cozy, modern and unpretentious. Good vibes overall

Best restaurant in the area. Great service both times I visited, treated us very well on my SO birthday despite it being closing time. Most importantly the food is amazing! Decent portions, but try the apps and unique pickled apples. Not cheap but you get what you pay for! Would reccomend

I have been here for happy hour twice. The happy hour prices are great. They have a decent wine selection and I was very happy with the choices. I also got some oysters which are a good bargain during HH. I will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy, and the staff is great.
