At 61, I had a lower left wisdom tooth starting to push thru the gum line and it became infected. To make matters worse it was very close to a nerve and causing nerve pain and the tooth in front of it was pushing on it... After seeing Dr. Landsman originally, I sought two other opinions and was told the same thing. The tooth had to come out because of the infection and there was a 95% chance I would have numbness on the left side of my face due to the nerve being so close to the tooth. I went back to Dr. Landsman and he took his time to explain all the pros and cons and what might or might not happen. He reassured me that he would do the surgery very slow and meticulous and do his very best to not touch the nerve. We agreed to do my surgery in a hospital for best results. After it was all done and I came to in the recovery room, the first thing I did was touch the left side of my face to check for numbness; there was none. Success!!! After a couple of months of healing and post-op visits to Dr. Landsman I was back to 100% ... It's been 8 months now and I can't thank Dr. Landsman enough for everything he did. I made the right choice. He and his office personal are the nicest people you'll ever meet and I would never hesitate to refer him to others.
