Out all the portuguese restaurants in Newark, this is one of my favorites, authentic portuguese food, I highly recommend this portuguese restaurant.

This is not your typical Portuguese Resturant unlike your Iberia's or Solmar's this place goes a little further. That's why you see lines on Friday and Saturday Nights for dinner the quality of the food, deserts and drinks set it apart from those traditional places in Newark. Allegro takes the traditional portuguese and spanish dishes and adds bit more french and asian flair making it a modern Portuguese resturant in my opinion
