I can't believe I just visited the Alice Austen house last year. Nestled in a quiet part of Staten Island, where fishers frequent but not many others, it's a gorgeous property!
While you can only visit the few rooms on the first floor, it's worth a visit, especially if you like photography. Give yourself an hour to go through Alice's albums, and another half hour to walk the premises, stepping back in time!
