Ali is an awesome guy and his restaurant is great. Best meal I've had in a long time. It's affordable, it's unique, it's romantic, it's absolutely fantastic! You have to go.

This place only gets one star from me because I had to do at least that much. I've been coming to this bar for years since the dickhead Ali first opened the place. It used to be really packed and the service was great then too. He was much more friendlier. I always tipped well, brought in new people, and never caused a problem. I hadn't been there in a long while and decided to stop in for a drink and food with a friend. He was so very rude to us. When I went to ask him for the check he was doing his books at the bar and even told me what do I want because he was busy. After I paid he actually had the audacity to tell me that he doesn't want my kind in their at all anymore. Wow! I was very much surprised. He has definitely taken gentrification to another level more like segregation which is so bizarre since he isn't from here and is a minority as well. If not more than me since I am actually a born American. He must be totally burnt out from taking orders, serving drinks, making food, and serving the damn all by his lonesome since he's too cheap to hire employees. Some of these places that are moving into a neighborhood that is mostly Hispanic and black should take some customer service advice from the better diverse bars along Myrtle Ave and DeKalb Ave in Clinton Hill/Fort Greene and Cobble Hill where all walks of life are welcomed regardless of color of skin and ethnicity.
