I was looking to freshen up the look of my stand up shower so I figured the cheapest way to do this was by glazing it in white. I scoured the internet and settled upon Affordable Glazing because the guy I spoke to seemed honest. I paid $765 to get my shower stalled glazed in white in September 2012, and was told that the work came with a 3 year warranty. The warranty stated the company would fix for free any peeling, chipping etc. within 3 years provided that the owner followed directions on how to maintain the resin.
Well it is 9 months later and portions of the resin on the shower floor have lifted and peeled away. I started calling Affordable Glazing in the end of June to complain about the workmanship and let them know that the work they did was in need of repairs. Every time I called, someone named Ellie kept asking me to call back. This went on for a week. I called on a Thursday and was told to call back on Tuesday. Then Ellie told me to send him a text describing what happened and he would set an appointment for me the same day. Well I texted him on July 02 and am still waiting for an appointment.
I was talking to my friend and he asked for their number to call them under the guise that he was interested in getting work done. When he called he was offered an appointment for the same day. Ok so now I know these people obviously are obviously giving me the run around because they do not want to stand by their warranty.
All I have to say is beware of their unethical business practices. They will gladly take your money and run but will not stand by their 3 year warranty. All that money I spent on the shoddy glazing job could have purchased me a bath fitter type mold for my shower.
