I have seen Dr Meryl Joerg and few times and find her to be exceptional. I read the previous reviews and wonder if mostly complainers post online reviews. Although my first visit has a long wait, I asked the staff what time of day I should book my next appts to avoid waiting and was informed that morning is best. Since then I booked morning appts and have not had a problem. I also found her staff to be very good too. Hence I wanted to post and let others know that my experience with the office and Dr. Joerg has been very positive. I will continue to see her as my primary dermatologist. She is gentle with what can be painful treatments, caring and very professional. I highly recommend her and the office staff.

The doctors always seemed rushed after they have you waiting FOREVER! My first experience with them was for my 1 year old daughter who had inexpiable red bumps on her skin. We sat there for over 2 hours waiting to be seen!! How do you make an appt for an INFANT and have them sit in a crowded waiting room for 2 hours?? The doc took a look at her and prescribed an extremely strong steroid cream saying it was eczema...Shes 1 year old! Wouldnt trying a heavier cream/lotion be the first thing to try? Needless to say I didnt use the steroid cream, started using thicker lotion and it went away. I did however go back because I had an angioma on my chest and they are close to my home. After waiting again forever, the doc came in looked at and said ok, yeah its an angioma we need to cut it. She numbed me sliced it off, burned it patched it and I was out. Because of her swift and In my opinion unpolished approach I now have a nasty looking scar from the procedure. It looks like a pimple and it will be there forever!!! Next I took my mother there for a very suspicious looking growth on the side her breast...Again because they are close to home. After waiting AGAIN for over an hour, we were taken into a room and then waited AGAIN for 25 mins!! The doc came in looked at, never even explained what it was just said he was going to cut it off. he numbed the area and literally cut it off with scissors. it left a gaping wound which he didnt bother to use a steri-strip or anything. he had his assistant bandage it and that was that.. My Mother also had a lump on her chest which he cut open and squeezed without even telling us what it was!! Again his assistant slapped a bandaid on it and told us we were done! We never got a follow up about the biopsy that he was suppose to preform. It took FOREVER for the wound on the side of her breast to heal! Literally about 6 weeks!
Now here is the last straw. I actually REFERED someone to this place if you can believe it because they took the insurance that we both have! Well my friend called to make an appt and was told they NO LONGER ACCEPT our insurance! This was news to me so I called myself. I called yesterday afternoon at about 3:47pm and the woman who answered the phone was RUDE! She was very bothered that I was calling to ask a simple question about the insurance that they accepted and when I asked if they were still accepting it for current patients she got huffy and said "didnt I just tell you that we are NOT ACCEPTING IT AT ALL?"
EXCUSE ME? Is that how you speak to a patient? I was only asking a question and I even apologized for bothering them with my inquiry!! Needless to say I am no longer using Advanced Dermatology even if I change to an insurance plan that they accept and I will NEVER refer anyone here again!!! Customer service is NOT their strong suit at all!!!

This place is a nightmare. They are always rushing, delayed, the recepcionists are constantly on the phone, always busy, even if the place is empty, and you have an appointment, be ready to wait at least an hour, just stressing by looking at the receptionists running, yelling, completely disorganized. Doctor are great though
