All they do is try and push their products on to you. They wont prescribe anything that is covered thru insurance. The Doctor then prescribes his own products which can total up to over $100.00. Find some where else to go

The worst place ever these people are so selfish and greedy. They are not trying to help your condition they just want your money. They don't even care about you. How ? Instead of them treating you they try to sell you their own medications that you can't afford and that's not even FDA approved instead of prescribing you a similar medication. You can't even speak to a doctor over the phone to ask a quick question with out making an appointment. People that don't care can kill. Proverb. Selfish humans. I told them my story and my situation still they couldn't offer some kind of discount. There a business they won't money. Lucky enough i was smart enough to do some research of my conditions and I found out they actually have medicines that can be prescribed and my insurance can help cover it but they never even gave me these medications as an option their goal was to sell me their product and that alone. Another selfish thing they did to was I need epidou which they once prescribed but it finished but I was suppose to have 2 more refills but for some reason when I went to Rhite aide it didn't clear so the pharmacy to me to call them they can send a prescription electronicly so I called them they asked me to come in I was like for what I seen you guys already I just need to pick up the cream it's the same cream I been using they refused to send it because won't me to come in which means money for them I said no then I later went to my regualar

Please do not go here. This is the worst dermatology office I have ever been to. All the doctor does is look at the problem area and just talk to his assistant ignoring that you are there. I was trying to explain when my problem started but he just ignored me and continued talking to his assistant. I can understand an assistant coming in with a GYN male doctor but does the assistant need to be inside the exam room?

I don't know what the other reviewers experienced, but my experience was far better. I went to the Co-op City Office on Bartow Avenue. I had some kind of an itchy cist on my back. Of course I didn't know what it was, I just thought it was a dry patch that needed special cream. I was given a small 'pinch' needle in it, and it went away. I went back for a follow up, and that was it. The office gets crowded, but you are seen relatively quick. My grand niece was seen there (an infant) for excema and with the right medications she has cleared up nicely. So, so far they are professional, know their field, and caring.

Recently went there and let me tell you, the dermatologist came in with an assistant. That alone killed the whole experience for me at the start. When dealing with doctors of any sort you want some sort of privacy so you can voice your concerns openly and correctly. I do not suffer from any social skills at all. While there he took about 1 minute looking at my skin said "its not so bad" then prescribed me Retin A without much speaking in between.

The conversation basically went exactly like this:

Dermatologist: So what are you here for?

Me: I am here for Acne problems I have had for 10+ years and some scars.

Dermatologist: Well lets see, your face is not so bad. (Then he starts speaking with his assistant) Ill prescribe you some Retin A. (then starts talking to his assistant again)

Me: (at this point i was disappointed and frustrated) I also have acne scars I want to...(the dermatologist cuts me off and speaks to his assistant, apologizes but completely forgets I was speaking).

Dermatologist: Ok we're prescribing you with Retin A. (Walks out of room)

I was just so stunned after this ordeal and regretted it immensely.

I do not recommend this place.
