After living on the Upper West Side, the Upper East Side, Stamford in Connecticut, and Fort Lee and Haworth in NJ, I find the Admiral's Walk the absolutely best place to live if you don't need a huge house to roll around and maintain.
We are fast into NYC by ferry, bus or car (over the GWB or Lincoln Tunnel). But unlike city dwellers, we have tennis courts, swimming pool, easy parking, security, concierge service, basketball courts and an indoor gym right out our front door! Not to mention our own, private walkway and picnic benches right on the Hudson facing Manhattan!
And the location: right between the marina and ferry on one side, the huge Veteran's Park and Community Center on the other, and with Route 5 right out front for a second way up the hill. Not to mention several restaurants and the Edgewater Library in walking distance.
And the views: Manhattan skyline on one side and George Washington Bridge on the other.
And the value: more space and service for the money than you could imagine! Certainly compared to the City.
For me, having lived all over the NYC area, I find this the best combination of location, features and value I have ever experienced!
