ADDISON ATELIER

I have had two suits and a cashmere coat made by Addison Atelier. There are a lot of “tailors” in NYC, but this place isn’t really a tailoring shop. It’s more of a design studio. He sits with you and goes over everything you can imagine when it comes to a suit; it’s an incredible experience. He is willing to invest time into making sure you get what you want. That’s increasingly rare these days and greatly appreciated.

Great selection with over 1,000 great fabrics. Variety of cashmere for coats. Classy, downtown vibe. Really appreciated the personal attention and style advice from a pro. Definitely would come back. Thanks Gerald!

I consider myself a bit of an aficionado when it comes to suits and
this place is a gem. First off, the owner is a walking encyclopedia of
all things tailoring so it helps to know that he really cares about
the stuff he makes. Secondly, he is so chill and attentive it makes
you feel comfortable immediately (I have dealt with pretentiousness
and attitude at other places and I hate that). Most importantly, the
way he lays things out is so user friendly. We picked fabric, we spoke
about softening my shoulders and suppressing my waist, and then we
picked shirting and buttons and linings. I’ve gotten a lot of suits
and shirts from him and the service is always as luxurious as the
product, next time I’m going back for a cashmere coat.
