I would not recommend this company to anyone. Last year they closed our pool for the first time - this year when they opened it, it needed several cleanings, which of course we were charged for, to get it right. First time that ever happened to us in 20 years. Problems with the heater during the summer all of a sudden too. Biggest disappointment was when I called them to close the pool. The day I called they immediately charged the FULL amount on my credit card. Two weeks later I still had not heard from them about a date. I finally called them when I noticed the charge on my credit card. I specifically told them that I wanted to be home when they came to close the pool, as I do not like anyone on the property when no one is here, additionally, I like to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Darren called early Monday morning and asked about coming - my husband told him that he was going to check with me to make sure I would be home and we would call him back in 15 minutes. Ten minutes later we tried to call them but got only a recording saying the office was closed for the holiday. Called back again and got the same message. Darren never called us back. I finally got a hold of him later in the day and after several conversations he finally said that they would be there on Tuesday (today). I explained to him that I had to leave my house by noon to go to work. He called me back and left a message on my answering machine that they would be here early am and be all done by noon. They finally showed up at 11:20 and when I told the guys that they were supposed to be here at 8:30 I guess they thought that was funny. I asked them to leave and told them to have Darren call me. Ten minutes later Darren called with more excuses and I told him I wanted my money back since they charged my card for a service that they had not performed. This company is very unprofessional and unreliable. They do not call you back and once they have your money in advance they no longer care. It is just one excuse after another with them. Darren then gets nasty, as if I, the customer, are in the wrong with this situation. I would never use this company again and wish I had checked their reputation before using them at all. My advice? Check reviews and reputations before using anyone.....

Be aware...... I am only sharing so that anyone else that uses them for what i did will pay special attention and not find themselves in the same situation.
1.) during a coping repair project they basically tried to pull a fast one and
fill the pool back with water before they could finish removing the excess grout that was left behind around the tiles underwater, once the tiles and coping were installed. Once I brought it to their attention they stopped re-filling the pool, said sorry and that they would not charge me to complete the job......its too bad they tried to pull this because their masons did a very good job with the project, they just tried to leave before the job was done figuring I would not notice.
2.) billing issues......not once but 5 times...after some discussion, because they prefer not to use AMEX, it was agreed that the coping repair project was to be put on a Amex.The mc i left them on file was for valet only. Simply I travel alot and use the MC for $ abroad and if they used that they would max it out and make things abroad a pain for I was leaving for a trip soon thereafter. Anyway all the construction/repair charges were put on the MC. It is not something that happened just once but 5 times for each installment. One time is a mistake, Five times is purposeful.
3.) the pool heater repair did not sit well with me either. i had a 4 year old heater that had an infestation issue over the winter, not uncommon. So I asked them to fix it. Basically nothing happened for over 6 weeks and the week prior to Memorial Day i was informed that the supplier did not have the part and was in a transitional period in moving yada yada yada....In essence backing me into a corner and forcing me to buy a new heater if I wanted to have the pool functional for the holiday. The Service manager is a real good guy and if this was the only issue I would have let it slide and not made a fuss. However after the other two issues I cannot help but feel as if this was all on purpose.......These issues all occurred within the first 2 months of me opening an account with them.....

All to often dealing with a pool company can be a very frustrating and disappointing experience. This is not the case with Acquatic Pools. I have found them to be reliable and competent, it has always been a pleasure dealing with this small family run company. Darren and Ken are very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Although not everything goes perfect all of the time, they have always made good on their commitments. CL, Midland Park, NJ
