Food was so good! We had a large group and ate family style. No one went home hungry. The wait staff was courteous and helpful. I should have asked if I could have some of that salad dressing to go.

By far my favorite Italian spot! BYOB makes it a plus! My boyfriend and I have dinner here at least twice a month. The manager is very welcoming! The food is very fresh and made with passion. I can assure you that you will love this place! Great atmosphere for family get togetherness, date nights and catching up with friends.

Had a party there for my daughter's baptism and it was awesome! The food was great, the service was friendly and fast and my whole family had a great time. As an added bonus, they have a large free parking lot so all my guests could easily drive and park there! It was such an easy and delicious event!

Simply not Italian.
Not just the name suggests experiencing a glimpse of Italy when you want to dine at the abbondanza. From an outside look into the restaurant, it does actually look as Italian as it gets that far away from the origin. But unfortunately, that's it for the most.
Friendly welcome.
Entering the Trattoria (next thing not too Italian: freezing 20°C inside, thanks to air conditioning, so dress warm - not italian) we experienced a very warm welcome. Found a table quickly, water was presented to us.
Alcohol? BYOB.
One thing which was very confusing (but seems to be rather common): if we wanted to have a glass of wine, we could bring our own bottle and they'd open it for us, but don't sell wine. Italian restaurant w/o wine? No way.
They work together with a small shop, 2mins by foot away from the trattoria, where you can buy (pretty good, even if not excellent) wine. The waitress told us, we could go there and get some or call them, which I of course did not because of roaming fees (it would have been nice here, if the waitress offered to call them or at least let me use their phone), so i walked up there. Now we're ready for dinner.
Ever been to Italy? No?
Me and my wife ordered a antipasti plate as a starter and as main dishes linguini/tomato/shrimp and farfalle/ricotta/spinach. When you've ever been to Italy you surely tasted the wonderful antipasti there: grilled, dryed marinated zucchini, melanzani, tomatoes, peppers with lovely olives and olive oil along with fresh baked panini. Not so here. Sour mushrooms, mushy peppers and way to salty olives tasted like right out of a can, way to much meat (salami-ish styled sausage, ham and mortadella - why mortadella?) was a bit hard for us as vegetarians. Normally you just don't get as much meat. To be honest I almost never got meat with my antipasti. I don't want to be unfair now, but it just didn't seem as if the cook had ever been to Italy (or to a real Italian restaurant, at least).
Main course.
As main course my wife ordered farfalle/spinach/ricotta/oil (the menu said "farfalle with pesto" but this describes it better i think) and I linguini/tomato sauce/shrimps. Farfalle tasted way too much after oil and cheese. Linguini were cooked to long, so no way near "al dente". Sauce also tasted right out of the can/tin. Shrimps well done. Too well. They would taste so good if they just were grilled sharply with some garlic, but those just didn't seem right.
I'm really sorry for being that honest, but I really do think that there is room for improvement. As long as it stays this way, European customers won't be satisfied, because it's simply not authentic in any means.
Sorry.
