A & L Cesspool Services Corporation

This place is completely unprofessional I do not recommend.

I called on Sunday to get the grease trap for my bakery snaked and cleaned. They do not offer cleaning on Sunday, so they came and snaked the trap at least and we paid in cash in full at the time they offered services. They told us to call Monday morning to remind them about the cleaning we had scheduled Sunday morning.

My partner called Monday morning and was told, "We will no longer be servicing your shop." My partner asked why and was just told "It is at our discretion. We do not have to give you a reason." I tried calling back and getting more information, but was told the same thing.

Completely confusing and unprofessional since they left us in the lurch Thanksgiving week and with our annual inspection from the department of health looming.

I do not recommend anyone use this service. We had used this service several times without issue and all of the sudden they refuse to do business with us. They are completely unprofessional.

These guys are a bunch of crooks. A $800 job turned into a $2400 without any notice.

Our confirmed 10am appointment should have been an omen as no one showed up. After several followup calls I made at 11, 2pm, 4:30pm and then 5:30pm the truck finally showed up at 6:25pm. Two young men arrived with the service truck and pumped pumped the secondary resevoir which we found and opened while waiting for them. They used their blackberries to look down the secondary cesspool to find the primary cesspool and probed all but 3 minutes before stating they usually go home at 7pm. I was put on the phone with their manager, Mike, who offered to have another team and Freddie, cesspool expert come the following day at 10am to help locate the primary pool for pumping. I agreed to let the two men leave as the two men clearly were not interested in doing anything further.

No one showed up at 10 the next day. A call to A&L at 10:30 confirmed that someone would be there before noon. At 12:30, I called A&L and was told the truck is no more than 15 minutes away but i asked them not to come anymore. A&L did not once extend the courtesy to call to say they were delayed.

A competing company was contacted and came within the hour. They were able to find the primary cesspool, perform the pumping and unclogged a blocked trap. My neighbors who beared witness throughout the two day ordeal were disappointed with A&L only to comment that they used to be run better. With my Cesspool backed up and basement filled with waste overflow, I'm sorry for waiting two work days for A&L. They really didn't care about me as a new customer.
