86th Street Dental: Jacob Kirsch DDS

Dental work performed on me didn't last long. I was in a lot of pain and had to pay to get it fixed. Quality of work is very low.

The associate who I saw for a cleaning did not bother to introduce himself to me. He also did not bother to make any conversation, and he got toothpaste all over my face! I will not go back to this practice.

I have to agree with the above reviewer. Both my husband and I were patients since just before we Married, now 16 years ago. At the start the visits were fine, very nice Dds. but after a few years he decided to stop doing cleanings himself and hired a hygienist who was less than friendly, and quite rough. (not what you want in your mouth) We stopped going here for many years as our insurance had changed and the Dds. didn't want to work out a plan for us to continue on as patients. That was quite disturbing to us, as we had been a couple of his longest standing patients. We left and found another Dds, but...geographically undesirable. This Dds. is a walk from our home, so...back we go. We're praying there's a new hygienist, but considering the lack of updating any machinery or decor, it's highly doubtful, but...I'm still hopeful. Again, the Dds. was always nice and very good at what he did. I think in the end it's equally important to have as good a hygienist as a Dds. so we'll see what comes this time around. Well, I can now add that this Dds. (Dds. Jacob Kirsch) doesn't see patients under my insurance, but rather has his associates see them now. I'm not getting a good feel at all, just over the phone, and so I completely hear what the other reviewer said. I will definitely take our business elsewhere. In addition to a good Dds,, and hygienist, you also need a good/friendly office personnel. It really does make a huge difference when choosing who to go to.
