50 Columbus

Amenities are no longer as great as they were since you have to share them with 70 columbus. Also for the management office, as said by other reviews, they are the least responsive people I have seen, let along their worst attitude. It seems like nothing is their fault. I've been in 4 communities and the management office at 50 Columbus is the worst by any means. The concierge is also not responsible either. They lost packages and they did not check. Overall, you should look for something else if you haven't signed up.

If you plan on getting your security deposit back DO NOT rent from 50 Columbus dr. I am the last to complain about anything online, but the experience I have received was the worst. I have rented over 5 apartments in the NYC area and no one was as blatant as 50 Columbus when it came to taking your security deposit. I always take responsibility and it was ridiculous. They charged for any scratch that was left that equaled to the total security deposit and more. There is nothing that did not constitute normal wear and tear. I do not feel like getting my lawyer involved for the small amount of money it is, but I hope everyone knows and realizes they will be scammed out of their security deposit! I get a very bad taste in my mouth and suggest that you find another apartment building in Jersey City.

I just moved in and I love it! Door man Mark Soprano is awesome! Everyone is friendly. Units are clean and spacious.

While this place looks good on paper, it really is not. I have lived here 2 years and have many complaints. The management is unresponsive, they continuously lose packages they sign for and they do not monitor their occupancy policy. The last is the most frustrating. There are multiple units that have many more people than legally allowed. My neighbors currently have 5 people in a 1 bedroom apartment. The smells that come from my floor and many other floors are terrible. Also, my rent has increased 20% each year - in other words after 2 years I pay 40% more than I did when i first rented here. The amenities are top class, but you have to decide whether they are worth sacrificing piece of mind and comfort.Good luck with your decision, but again, I would recommend looking elsewhere
