Wow!
I work for a Major grocery chain in the Produce Department and I am very impressed with the Quality and Price of the Produce here.
I don't know how they make any money.
Their prices are easily 1/2 of anywhere else.
Quality is Super.

Good pricing. What you typically expect from this type of business location. There is a much larger location on Route 46 in Kernville with a great selection of hard to find produce but this is great if you are local.

This place is cheaper than any supermarket I've ever been to. As other reviewers have said, check your produce etc. If you need cold cuts go right over and give them your order at the counter, they will prepare it for you while you shop for your veggies, fruit etc. I go here once a month and I definitely get my monies worth! I spend $30-$50 for my husband and I and I have veggies & fruit for most of the month or at least three weeks. When I used to get it from ShopRite or any other supermarket like this they'd go bad quick and I'd spend double the amount. If it's going to go bad paying these kind of prices then I'm not so upset over it.

usually I am pleased with the farmer's market although there are times that the garlic will sprout a couple days after i purchase it and the ripe vegetables are so ripe you must use them asap. The fruits and vegetables seem like the left-overs that they couldn't sell to the local chain stores and i like to support local business and would rather give my money to the farmer's market than the chain A&P for more reasons than just the money, however, I do not like buying produce that seems to be the leftovers for the 'peasants'. I wish the produce was handled by the workers with a little more care than slamming the fruits and veg down at the check out or even the stock boys throwing tomatoes to the top of the pile. I pick my 6 tomatoes from the bunch and try to get the best ones out. At times I have to compromise, thinking, 'this one isn't 'soo' bad. I will use it in soup,' but then the checkout girl will slam my tomatoes down with recklessness ruining further my already bruised compromise. I am usually pleased with what I buy as I do not buy things that i find wholly unattractive but sometimes I must forego buying certain produce as the Farmer's Market's selection is less than worthy of my hard earned dollars. Having said that, however, I would rather pay twice as much for my produce if it means I get the quality i pay for. I bought garlic from Fairway and didn't finish using it until 3 weeks later. There was only 1 detectable sprout and I was like @HOLY MOLEY! had i bought that from the farmer's market it would have resembled a tall grass prairie!

As a long time customer of Corrado's Market in Clifton, I was amazed when I first stumbled onto this place - by accident (I was going to the Sleepy Mattress store directly in front of it, and they happen to share the same parking lot).
The prices are unbeatable. For example (as of 1/12/11), Plum tomatoes: .69/lb, Iceberg lettuce: 69 cents a head, green bell peppers (that haven't started to turn red): .59/lb. Cucumbers: 5 for a buck!. Not only are the prices far lower than what I was used to, even more shocking was the excellent quality, which is as-good or better than any major supermarket, and vastly-better than Corrado's (where produce is often near to or already spoiled). Also unlike the latter, they actually wash their greens and lettuce before putting it on display (and put delicate items like green and red leaf lettuce in plastic bags to prevent wilting). All of their produce is amazingly fresh given the price.
For example, I bought 10 cucumbers at 5 for a dollar two weeks ago from Rt. 46 Farmer's Market. I honestly didn't think I'd get to use them all before some went bad, but because they were so cheap I got more than I needed. As I write this, I still have some in the fridge and they're still crisp and firm, 2 weeks after purchase. The plum tomatoes are ripe but not old or soft, and will keep at room temperature for 5 - 7 days.
Fresh herbs like basil, parsley, sage, chives and so on are also available. They also have a nice assortment of imported Italian pasta and canned tomatoes at prices that are 20-30% lower than Corrado's prices.
They also have a deli with Italian cheeses and cured meats, along with the usual assortment of cold cuts and cheese. Thumann's Bologna is $4.99/lb (a dollar less than what Corrado's charges). Domestic cooked ham is $3.99/lb.
I still visit Corrodo's (which is only a few blocks from home) almost daily to get my favorite Italian bread and cold cuts, but I don't bother much with their produce unless I'm in a pinch. When I need to stock up on produce, I'll take the 15 minute ride to this place, and come back with loads of stuff.
Be careful if you get hand-picked mushrooms, as they are very touchy about breaking off stems and taking only caps - if you do that, they'll charge you double!
Because of its location (behind the Sleepy's Mattress store and next to the Nissan dealer), this place cannot be seen from the highway, and not many people know about it. Well, I don't mind that because on the weekend it's already mobbed and with only 5 or 6 cashiers, the wait can be longer than in most stores, but still worth enduring for the unbeatable prices and quality.
