15th & 149th St Auto Care (15-04 149th St, Whitestone, NY 11357) responded to a AAA call to jump my car. They claimed that my battery could not be jumped and forced me to buy a new battery (for $175). They did not give me credit for the old battery. They also claimed that I needed a new alternator at a cost of $700 when I had already told them the reason the battery was drained was because of an electrical short in my sideview mirror motor. They nonetheless insisted that the alternator tested as not working and they did not want to guarantee the new battery without a new alternator. The next day when I took the car to my own mechanic he said I my alternator was working just fine. They are actively fleecing their customers.
