Welcome to my acupuncture practice.

I am a licensed acupuncturist in the state of New York, and a nationally certified Chinese herbalist. My private practice is in Prospect Heights, close to Park Slope, in the borough of Brooklyn, NY.

Traditional Oriental Medicine (TOM) is a time tested approach to health and healing. Its ancient roots spring from the uniting of opposites: the harmonization of seasons hot and cold; the coordination between external musculature and internal organs of the body; and the connection of ourselves as individuals to the multitudinous world around us. Essentially, TOM is the movement towards balancing Yin and Yang.

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, within TOM, are highly effective treatment modalities that have been in use for millenia. When applied appropriately to balance the energetic and manifested physiological elements — Qi & Yang, Blood & Yin — they can interrupt disease processes, reinvigorate stagnant tissues, and restore well-being.

I treat patients who have a range of complaints, including pain syndromes, anxiety, stress, dependencies, headaches, and insomnia. I also work with those who struggle to conceive, and those with gynecological disorders, such as endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, ovarian cysts, fibroids and PCOS. I provide support through acupuncture and herbs, and help assess where any blocks to healing may lie in the diet and lifestyle.

I believe in a continuum of health: that we all display elements of wellness regardless of how unwell we may feel. By establishing balance, healing occurs naturally and sometimes even spontaneously. My goal is to create a safe space where patients can pursue a broader experience of their own "health", and to help them secure control of progress that is made.
